FAQ'sI already have an email address with my Internet Service, can I keep it? Yes. You can keep the email your ISP provides, BUT you should stop giving people that address and use your own domain name email instead. By giving out your ISP email address (you @ rogers.com, for example) you are stuck using that ISP forever or risk losing contact when you switch. If instead you give out an email address that goes with your Sightz website (you @ yourwebsite.com) then you can change ISP's whenever you like and KEEP the same email address forever. You can change where your Sightz email is forwarded whenever you like and you can check and receive this email using ANY ISP, even a cybercafe! One of the best things about having your own website is having an email address that never changes!
Can I have a website that sends people directly to (another site, my agent's website, my current site, etc)? Yes. It's called domain forwarding and Sightz does that. For $98 per year (including a dot com/net/org domain) we will forward your domain name anywhere you like. We have clients who use forwarding to have a domain of their own name (alansmithee.com, for example) but have it take visitors directly to their page on their agent's website. The email addresses for a forwarded domain can also be forwarded to anywhere you like. Forwarding is the least expensive way to have a custom domain name website and email.
Can I have something like Hotmail™ but with MY OWN domain name? Of course, it's called WebMail and it's included FREE with all Sightz websites. All the features and advantages of Hotmail™ without the ads. Check and send email from and Internet connected computer - cybercafe, airport kiosk, office, anywhere.
Can I have an email address that follows me when I travel? Of course, all Sightz websites include FREE WebMail. Webmail has all the features and advantages of Hotmail™ without the ads. Check and send email from and Internet connected computer - cybercafe, airport kiosk, office, anywhere. You can also configure your Sightz email to forward to any other mailbox you like, even multiple mailboxes. If you are on assignment with a particular organization, just forward your Sightz email to your new mailbox. It's easy to change it back when your assignment ends. People will always be able to contact you using the SAME email address, no matter who you are working for or where you are!
How can I register my own domain name? It's easy and inexpensive! Sightz will work with you to find the perfect domain name. All of the good ones are NOT taken. If you can't find a good dot-com, we can advise you on the pros and cons of a dot-net or dot-ca or even the new dot-info and dot-biz. We recommend as a minimum that individuals register their own name dot-com (for example brentjcraig.com) and that businesses register their name dot-com, dot-net and dot-ca. You can have any number of domain names connected to your Sightz website. There is a $20 one-time charge for each name you add (in addition to the domain name registration fee).
